Does God put you through hard times for his Glory?

A common misconception today is "if God brings you to it He will pull you through it"
That is an untrue statement. God would never strike anyone with an illness to teach them a lesson, or bring on calamity as punishment for something they did wrong. Yes it is true hard times will come in this life. In my case trauma, but it was not from God. God was the one who pulled me through and comforted me when no one else could. He is all mighty and yes he could have stopped the tragedy, but I know now that all things happen for his Glory. In other words He allowed me to experience the pain I suffered because he knew what I would do with that pain in the future. He knew that many people would be reached and open up to his touch through my story of healing and deliverance. At that time I could not understand. I asked why me God? Why didn't you stop him? I thought it wasn't fair! Now I realize if I didn't share this story and the miraculous deliverance his Grace brought me, well...That wouldn't be fair. To him be the Glory. Do you have a Glory story? Please share.

What Are We Saved From?

A person is deceived when they think they are saved from hell. Many mistake entirely the nature of salvation, and fail to embrace salvation's blessings. They believe are saved from the punishment of hell and are going to Heaven. So Their hope is to escape sin's penalty. That is not true deliverance from their sins! These people will be unfruitful because they still have a sin consciousness!

2Pe 1:8-9
For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

What is The Mystery?

Rom 16:25-26
Now to Him Who is able to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

Who Are These People that Jesus say's to them "I Never Knew You"?

Mat 7:20-23
Therefore by their fruits you will know them. Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!

Forgiveness

When I give my testimony of how I went through brokenness, then surrendered my life to God. Many people ask me if I forgave Michael Hayes for what he did to me. Well part of surrender is forgiveness. I had to let go of the hatred in my heart in order to let Jesus in! Another bondage was the grief I had to let go of as well. You see Psalms 51:16-17 says:

"For You do not delight in sacrifices, otherwise I would give it; You are not pleased with burnt offerings. The sacrifice pleasing to God is a broken spirit; A broken and humbled heart, O God, You will not despise".

God desires us to be broken. Because only then can we truly surrender all of ourselves to him. Most people think humbleness means gentle, lowly, or modest. That's not what humble is. Look at 1 Peter 5:6-7 and see what Humble really is:

"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your cares upon him; for he cares for you".

Did you see that? To humble yourself means to cast all your cares over on him... That is what I did at my surrender, I gave every care I had; my dreams, my family, grief, post traumatic stress disorder, hatred toward Michael Hayes & most importantly my life. What are your thoughts on forgiveness? Do you have a testimony as well? Or do you need help letting go? The blog is open, let us know your thoughts.
